Dr. Murad thinks the same is true (with the name of the conference changed) for Eureka's Global Biotechnology Congress 2016, to be held in Boston (where he will again be a Conference President). The same words also appear in a Welcome Note for the "The 7th International Conference on Drug Discovery and Therapy, which, yes, "should provide eminent scientists the opportunity to present their cutting edge researches ...." These conferences, Dr. Murad assures us, are "important," exciting." and, of course, "scientific events."
By May 31, 2016, the connection to Eureka Science had become harder to detect. They no longer were part of the spam and were buried on the drug conference website. Indeed, even the name of the conference changed slightly (to Drug Discovery and Therapy World Congress 2016). The advertised speakers are
A similar cast of plenary speakers are listed for the Global Biotechnology Conference 2017. As of 10/18/16, "Nobel Laureate Ferid Murad, M.D." is President of an unenumerated "Organizing Committee." His name, followed by those of Nobel Laureates Sidney Altman and Roger Tsien comprise the plenary speaker list. The keynote speakers are Andrew Johnson (NIH), Shuji Ogino (Dana Farber Cancer Institute), M. Amin Arnaout (Mass General Hospital), and Guangping Gao (U Mass Med Sch) . An "Invited Speaker Academic" gets to pay up to $1090 in registration fees, and an "Invited Speaker Corporate" has the honor of paying up to $1690. And if Eureka does not deliver on the promised speakers--indeed, if it cancels all or part of the conference--it "shall not be liable ... under any theory of law" and will not refund your full payment.
