OAHost and Collaborative Conferences (CC)

Having been spammed by General Secretary Mavis Ma about a "Collaborative Conference" managed by OAHost, I looked for more information. The Collaborative Conferences website (http://2conf.org/Europe/, 2/8/18) explains that
The Collaborative Conferences (CC) is a series of seminars held to gather scientists, intellectuals and researchers of a same study field from across the world to communicate, share and exchange their knowledge or new findings on a given topic.
"OAHOST [is] a conference management platform by scientists and for scientists." No addresses are provided, but the domain 2conf.org is registered to
Zhiming Wang
OAHOST, 1550 Fort Bend Road #3001, Katy, Texas 77494
Phone: +1.8322601660
Email: zhmwang@gmail.com
So are the Collaborative Conferences domain names bmeeting.org, cc3l.org, ccmst.org, emnfall.org, enmeeting.org, icssci.org, mathmeeting.org, and phmeeting.org (although the registered email addresses is emngeneral@outlook.com). The address is for a luxury apartment in the Grand Villas Apartments.

Some positive reports about EMN meetings are interspersed among more skeptical responses at https://www.researchgate.net/post/Does_anyone_have_opinions_on_EMN_meetings and https://www.researchgate.net/post/EMN_Conference_Bogus_Conference_or_Real_Event. But who knows which of the respondents are for real?

I sent an email under the name Mountebank (meaning charlatan), proposing a talk on "Solving the New York Stock Exchange Paradox with Probability Real Lie Algebras and the Ricci Flower Equation" for the 2018 Mathematics Series. There is no New York Stock Exchange Paradox, no Probability Real Lie Algebras, and no Ricci Flower Equation. But, hey, no problem -- I can deliver a 25-minute talk as long as I pay "a Poster Rate($548) as an invited speaker."

    Dear Dr. Ma,
Thank you for the kind invitation. Would you let me know the honorarium that you provide for invited speakers and the length of the talk? I would like to give a paper on Solving the New York Stock Exchange Paradox with Probability Real Lie Algebras and the Ricci Flower Equation. It would be most suitable in a session on advances in geometric probability.
Looking forward to your prompt response,
    Mountebank Kaye

Thank you very much for your reply. Our Mathematics meeting is an invitation based social gathering event without outside financial support and therefore it is impossible for us to cover all the invited speakers conference costs. However, the conference doesn't aim for financial profit either and the conference committees could consider to offer a maximum discount on the registration fee up to a Poster Rate($548) as an invited speaker. The time slot is 25 minutes for invited speaker. Please let me know if you can accept our invitation under this condition. Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Mavis Ma

  1. Hi,
I have similar experience with a collaborative laser conference, the only difference the general secretary was CC Tang, also got invoice for 598$ payment for an invited talk. It is probably the same person. Please ignore this organization
