Beyond the Science Horizons

Christoph Bartneck, a professor at New Zealand's University of Canterbury, produced a podcast on questionable conferences and journals. It includes a revealing interview with one of the two young directors of Science Horizons Conferences Private Ltd. Professor Bartneck had submitted a vacuous, jargon-laden abstract that was immediately accepted as a keynote address for the International Conference and Expo on Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, advertised to take place at an unspecified location in Rome.

This Hyderabad company last reported paid-up capital of 1 lakh Indian Rupees -- approximately $1,048.44 US Dollars (USD) at the current exchange rate, and it has held no meetings since 30 November 2021. I can find no conferences being advertised anymore. A page in LinkedIn has no posts and merely states in the overview that

Science Horizon is an International Scientific Conference Organizer. Which focuses on the fields of Sciences, Engineering and Technology to exchange ideas and Knowledge which ease the collaboration among the scientists and Academicians.

In short, whatever Science Horizon Conferences once was, it now seems to be defunct.
