Magnus Group (MG), where you can sail your boat and pick the pearls

"Magnus Group (MG) is initiated to meet a need and to pursue collective goals of the scientific community specifically focusing in the field of Science, Engineering, and technology to endorse exchanging of the ideas & knowledge which facilitate the collaboration between the scientists, academicians and researchers of same field or interdisciplinary research." If that vacuous and chaotic sentence is not enough for you, the About Us page adds that
Our conference and workshops can be well titled as ‘ocean of knowledge’ where you can sail your boat and pick the pearls, leading the way for innovative research and strategies empowering the strength by overwhelming the complications associated within the respective fields.
It is a little hard to believe the Virginia  address is the international headquarters of MG. Its domain names were registered by Privacy Protect.

The conference spam I received listed Adrian Yousef Rojeab among the speakers. "The London College" at which he is said to be a "lecturer and researcher" does not have a faculty directory, and no CV seems to be anywhere else on the web. Nevertheless, it is easy to see that Dr. Rojeab is very active on the flaky conference circuit. Educated as an electrical engineer, he spoke on the same topic -- "Novel strategy to cure cancer" at least four times:
(1) in 2017 at OMICS' 19th Euro Congress on Cancer Science and Therapy (which was combined with the 25th Cancer Nursing & Nurse Practitioners Conference);
(2) the same year at the 10th International Conference on Cancer Stem Cells and Oncology Research in London; and again at
(3) Allied Academies' 2018 International Conference on Cancer Therapy in Osaka; as well as
(4) the International Conference on Immuno - Oncology and Cancer Science in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
There may be others. His name popped up on a BIT Fourth World Congress on Robotics. If you attend the Magnus conference, let us know if he has made progress on this "direct, right, and simple treatment." It is "a magnetic action on opposing the cancer cells" that inhibits "the lengthening of the telomere of the cancer."

  1. I found this a while ago - an unintentionally useful compendium of predatory conference companies.

    Magnus is there, along with all the usual suspects.

  2. Magnus Group is a Profit Organisation based in Hyderabad, India. Ranjith Kumar is managing Director of Magnus Group. you can find its location in google (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Magnus+Group/@17.427922,78.450011,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x3352021be53e22d6?sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwigw9D72e7lAhURknAKHcUQDr4Q_BIwE3oECBAQCA).

    Its completely a fake Organisation sending invitations with fake names. You will never see the person who contacted you in email at onsite, you will find only the following persons at every conference Jyothi, Sravya, Navya, Hari Prasad, Laxmi, Alekya.

    MG is the Dark Side of Predatory Conferences, Decreasing the quality of Scientific Events.
